Man Arrested for Murder

 
TEXAS CITY, TX (March 09, 2018, 10:50 PM): On March 09, 2018, Texas City Police Detectives arrested 22-year-old Jovanta James Filer of Texas City for the murder of 32-year-old Kendrae Jones. Jones was shot and killed during an altercation at the Fish Place, located at 925 Texas Ave, in La Marque on February 03, 2018. 
 
Jovanta James Filer has been charged with first degree murder, with a bail set at $250,000 and is currently in custody at the Galveston County Jail.
