TEXAS CITY, TX (June 1, 2018, 1:42 PM): On Friday, June 1, 2018, at approximately 1:42 PM, Texas City Police responded to the 3400 block of Magnolia Avenue, in reference to a body floating in the water.

Officers arrived to discover that a white male, approximately 30-35 years old, was deceased in the waterway near Carlos Garza Sports Complex.

Police are working to identify the deceased and the cause of death, though foul play does not appear to be a factor at this time. Police are asking anyone with information to call (409) 643-5720.
